I've started another BLOG

Since I've run out of storage space on this and I'm too cheap to pay for it. I've started another blog titled the "Kamm Family". Merry Christmas, enjoy!

Best Ham Sandwiches!

Ham is my favorite meat to have at the holidays. For Thanksgiving this year, I made these sandwiches as an appetizer. They were a huge hit!

Ham Sandwiches

Directions:

  1. You will need two 9 x 13 pans. Place the bottoms of 12 rolls in each pan. Place ham (about 2 shaved slices or so) on the rolls. Cut the cheese slices into 4 parts and place 2 small pieces on each sandwich. Put the dinner roll tops on. In a sauce pan, mix butter, dijon mustard, worcestershire sauce, and dried onions. Wait until all butter is melted and then pour the melted mixture over the ham sandwiches (I know it sounds weird but TRUST me). Sprinkle the buns with poppy seeds and cover with foil. Preheat oven to 350 and uncover sandwiches. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes and serve. They are great hot and even at room temperature Enjoy!

Lawson Lately

My big boy is almost 9 months! He is a very happy and (finally after bronchilitis, impetigo, etc) healthy guy. Here are a few things he is up to these days:

-crawling (he gets into everything cabinets, stairs, drawers, electrical sockets, air vents)
-laughing and smiling (Harleigh can make him laugh so hard, I love watching them interact)
-talking (mama, dada, nana, baba, it's non-stop and he's loud!)
-eating (non-stop, he loves food and bottles)
-pulling up and cruising
-standing (only for a few seconds, no steps)
-his walker and foam letters are favorites
-everything goes in his mouth
-being tickled on his sides and belly
-taking great naps, he goes down easy
-holding his own bottle
-watching his sister
-hide and seek
-shower time

Here are a few things he is NOT up to these days:
-Sleeping at night (he still wakes up 2-5 times a night, usually because he doesn't know how to lay back down from the sitting position, needs a diaper change, or gas)

Even with lack of sleep, we love you Lawson Philip and look forward to seeing you grow and develop into a loving and active boy!

Cousin Fun!

We're very blessed to live so close to family. I love that Harleigh and Lawson are able to see their "Bradbury-side" cousins so often. I wish we lived closer to Zak's side so Harleigh and Lawson would be just as close with the Kamm cousins.

Lawson (7months) and Isla (4 months)

Bathtime fun with Brooksie!

L: "Isla, look what I can do"
I: "I don't care that you can roll, I've got plenty of those on my legs, hand over the keys!"

This bathtub just barely fit the 4 of them

Landon loves borrowing H's PJ's, silky pants, and lavender top.

Lawson 8 months

The big guy has been having some health issues lately, causing us to go to the pediatrician quite a bit. Both of the Kamm kids have very dry skin, and due to the dry skin they are more prone to skin problems (eczema, impetigo, staph infections, etc). We went in at 8 months for flu shots and to get on medication for Lawson's severe impetigo. He weighs in at 21 lbs 15 oz, and 27 3/4 in. long. Needless to say, he eats well.

"That's a stick, mommy"

Anyone that knows the Kamm's, knows we don't have a green thumb. All my "plants" in my house are either fake or succulents (the plants that you only have to water 4times a year - well, I only water them4 times a year). I recently received a really pretty white orchid at a work function and thought that it looked easy enough to maintain. "Water when soil is completely dry". Well, with a home on the market, work,  and cold and flu season with two kids that catch everything, I did not manage to "water when dry". Needlesstosay, it's not doing well.

It sits on our kitchen table, and one evening Harleigh was playing with the drying/dead like flower.

I told her, "Harleigh please don't play with mommy's flower".
Quickly she responded with a little giggle, "Mommy this isn't a flower it's a stick". As if I was trying to trick her.

I failed to notice that my stem was "brown" and to her defense it did look like a stick.

Zak and I still laugh about it, as I am still trying to resuscitate my "stick".
