The Difference a Year Makes

Pictures of my two kids a year ago. Harleigh's hair is so short and her face was so baby-like. Lawson, hmm, he was the size of a lemon and likely looked a bit alien-ish (a very cute alien I'm sure :)).

Baltimore Aquarium August 2012

On the haul up to Maine we were sure to add some fun adventures to the trip (you know, because driving to Maine isn't long enough, let's extend the trip a few more hours!). I'm kidding, it was great to stop and stretch our legs, take some pictures, and have something to talk about with Harleigh afterwards. Below are some pictures from our excursion to the Baltimore aquarium which was a hit for both our 2 year old and 5 month old.
Rawr..it's a shark! "Rawr" sounds like the appropriate noise a shark would make, right?!

For realsie's, a shark!

I love Lawson trying to look around Zak in this one!

Can you find Nemo?

Waiting on the dolphin show to start (very entertaining)

H loved it!

Harleigh's Outfit of Choice

My daughter is a princess through and through. She loves high heels, mini skirts or tutus, and cute "party" tops. She loves playing in these outfits. This is her one Friday night hanging out on our street corner (hmm...that doesn't sound right).

On the Move...

No, we've not sold our home :(, but at 6 months Lawson has started to move! He's begining to crawl. He was only getting one hand and one leg, then when he goes to move the next he will become unbalanced and fall. But now, he's been really focusing and concentrating and he's starting to take more and more "steps".

Another milestone for Mr. Lawson is that we've moved him into his big boy bed (crib). He was sleeping in our room due to his breathing issue and the fact that he's up ALL NIGHT! However, we're starting to turn a corner and he's sleeping for a longer stretch in his bed. Last night, he went down around 7:30pm and woke up at 4:30am, which we'll take over the 11pm wake up, 1:30am wake up, 3:30 wake up, and every 30 minutes from there we've been dealing with. (Kudos to Zak for jumping up and sticking the paci or bottle in, I usually wake up after Zak has already jumped out of bed. And we both know if I get up, Lawson is coming back into our bed as I cannot function or think straight in the middle of the night).

Another big accomplishment for our big guy, is big boy food. We've been giving him bites of avocado, banana, green beans, puffs, noodles, bread for him to chomp on with his two teeth and he seems to enjoy it. Although most of it ends up in his lap, we're able to work on the pinching motion.

Yay Lawson, 6 months is a fun month full of big boy milestones!

To my BFF...

I've not done a great job giving credit to my hubby lately. He is a superstar hubby, comic, hands-on daddy (he takes the night shift!), provider, spiritual leader, (super)model in our home. He drove 99% of the way to and from Maine last month, kept his cool with a teething 5 month old and rambunctious 2 yr old. Below are some pictures of my BFF from that trip.

Lawson took "hands on" literally

I love Kammbone in a hat!

"Look at the butt on that."
"Yeah, he must workout." (name the movie)

I love you, Zak!

Happy 31st Birthday, Sister

I'm more of a "pictures" person. I've always enjoyed magazines or picture books to long novels. (It's a good thing my kids are young and I can handle their 10 page picture book with no more than a sentence on each page. As soon as they get into Babysitter Club or Twilight, I'm going to have to tap out and let Zak take over.)
But, this post is not about me, it's about my sister. Today, we celebrate her 31st year of life! Old- I know. Ging, I love the relationship we have and am so blessed to have such a fun, outgoing, creative, thoughtful, smart sister in my life. Here are some pictures from our recent Maine trip of my BFF- Ginger Lynn Dean (a-ling)! :)

Not many people know this but my sister is a ninja. I guess it's something she picked up growing up in the Trailerhood Park in Indiana, PA

Ginger is an awesome photog. Very creative. Some would say she "gets shots almost as good as Eidi Photo". I'm just the messenger on this comment.

For those that don't know Ginger has a smokin' hot sister :) Sorry guys, she's married.

Ginger is an amazing mom, wife, and all around family women. This picture shows how much her boys adore, love, and respect her...or the ground.
Brooksie, look up and lovingly at your mom!
Landon, watch the hand, sir!
Okay, maybe this is not the right photo for the caption.  Next.

Another fun factoid about yours truly, she is an amazing singer and a founder of the popular girls, Christian group "Sisters in Christ". You should of heard of them, they're on top of all the Billboard Music charts. Spice Girls have nothing on them.
Ginger glows. I mean, literally, she glows. She is a walking billboard for Banana Boat SPF 100+. As my hubby says, "Ginger repeals the sun". I guess she'll be laughing in a few years when we all look like we 80 and she still looks 25. But, until then...

Ginger is a wonderful aunt. She shows so much love to my kids. No joke here, thanks for loving my kids like they were your own. If anything ever happens to Zak or I, I know my kids would be in good hands with you in their life.

I just love this photo, probably because it's from the "Eidi Photo" collection. Beautiful sister!

My dad in his signature shirt and his two favorites- Ginger and Lawson!

Love you, Ging. I hope you have a great day and enjoy this post. My blog is my gift to you. Unfortunately, there is no monetary value so I'll still have to buy you a gift too...dang! :)
