Happy Birthday, Landon!

Happy Birthday, Landon.  I'm so glad that we're able to play together (especially dress up), chat on the phone, and celebrate birthday's together.  I have such a fun time with you, even though I sometimes get carried away and try to boss you around and tell you what you can and can't do.  Thank you for being the bestest cousin ever!  I love you, Lando Commando!

Love,
Harster

Twousins 2nd Birthday- continued...

Here are some pictures of the twousins 2nd birthday at the Dean's.  Earlier that day, we went to Sports Connection and bounced on the inflatables.  Later that evening, the Bradbury family went to the Dean's for pizza and cupcakes.  Thanks for hosting, Dean's!

Harleigh and Landon's 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated a "mini" birthday with Harleigh and Landon this year as I'm 9 months pregnant and not sure with baby boy Kamm will be coming.  We wanted to be sure to do something fun for the little tikes so we took them to Sports Connection and let them bounce around in the inflatables.  They had a great time and were exhausted by the time we left. Here are some pictures of the morning activity.  (I'll post pictures of the pizza and cupcake celebration from later that evening, and pictures from Harleigh's actual birthday- when we went to Lazy 5 Ranch).  Stay tuned.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Harleigh!

Harleigh,

We can't believe you're a 2 year old.  We won't be referring to you as a "baby" anymore, but as a "Big Girl" or "Big Sister".  God has definitely blessed us with a loving, energetic, sensitive, positive toddler that make us smile each day.  Daddy and Mommy love to spend time with you playing "sleep", coloring, painting your nails, playing "hide-n-seek", dancing, and being outside on the swings or playgrounds.  You are truly one of a kind and we thank God for making you the way you are.  Continue to love Jesus, say your prayers, and show respect.

We love you sooooo much!  Happy Birthday, Big Girl!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Happy Birthday, Joel Bob!

Happy 26th birthday to my "little" brother, Joel!  I hope you have a wonderful day.  In the spirit of birthday's, I want to share my top 3 presents Joel's given to me or family members:

1. Dried out marker, Scotch tape, and other supplies from around the house (Joel had a tendency when he was younger to wrap gifts for us, he would find our gifts around the house and wrap them).  One Christmas we had to us masking tape instead of scotch tape, as the scotch tape was already under the tree- wrapped.

2. Coupons.  Joel was the king of "coupons", and I mean handwritten coupons.  These were for things like cleaning our room, foot massage, doing dishes for us on our dish day, etc.  Typically, you could use the coupons, but only when it was convenient for Joel, and yes, they expired.

3. Stuffed Monkey.  This is a serious one, after I had Harleigh, Joel brought a stuffed monkey to the hospital for Harleigh.  The monkey had a bib, diaper, and paci.  This gift is special to us because it's one of Harleigh's favorites.  She loves her monkey and will carry it around or walk it in her stroller.  Zak and I have found her sucking on the monkey's paci at times as well.

Happy Birthday, Joel Bob!

Happy 30th Birthday, Ginger!

Today is my sister's 30th birthday.  I thought I would take time to highlight a few things that I love about Ginger, in Micheals cousin fashion (hehe):

Gabby.  Ginger has been known to talk so fast no one can decipher the words coming out.  She can literally say an entire sentence in one word.

Innovative, since there isn't a C for Creative this will work too.  I've made the mistake of agreeing to have 2 parties with Ginger this year.  The babies 1st Birthday and my parents Surprise 50th.  In each of these situations, Ginger signed us up to create/make items that would "add" to the birthday.  A photo booth with endless props, cupcakes made to look like popcorn, a string of cupcake papers with coordinating colors as the party, etc, etc, etc.  Ginger likes to spend the extra time to create memorable items that people will love.  And she does!

Network (Food Network, that is).  I had to include this somehow.  Ginger is one of the few people I know that will watch hours of cooking shows, and usually not make anything she sees!  She is a great cook, and I call her anytime I have a cooking or baking question as she is my "Cookbook on Call".

Gorgeous.  This goes back to when we went camping as kids, we would have a chant we would do with whoever was in the boat.  Grumpy Grandpa, Rambunctious Rachel, Knuckle nose Naomi, etc...Ginger would always say she was Gorgeous Ginger.

Entertaining.  Ginger loves to entertain.  When she has a party you can guarantee there will be delicious food, a creative theme, and no detail will be missed (see I, Innovative).

Reliable.  Ginger is very reliable.  I know I can count on her to follow through, help with Harleigh, keep secrets.

Happy 30th Birthday, Ginger.  We're so blessed to have you in our lives!

Trip to the Riverbanks Zoo, South Carolina

Daddy and Harleigh can't wait to see all the animals!

Harleigh more interested in the kid next to her than the bears!

100+ old turtles, giving my Great Grandma Saft (101) a run for her money!

Cruisin' the zoo!

Silverback and Harleigh both chillin'

eww...snakes!

One of Harleigh's favorite's "blower" (we're still working on the "f")

We had a great time at the zoo!  Zak did such a great job organizing this birthday gift, and I loved it!  Harleigh even gave a birthday gift and took a nap while we were there (for those that don't know, she doesn't like to sleep in many places other than her bed).  Hope you enjoy the pictures, all taken with my birthday gift, my new camera!!  Thanks again, Zak, you are wonderful!

Happy Birthday, Jayson Dean!

Happy birthday to my brother-in-law, Jason.  Dean has had the pleasure of being in my life for almost 10 years- through college, weddings, vacations, and holidays- I've enjoyed getting to know Dean and continue to test his PATIENCE!  He's a wonderful dad, husband, brother, and friend.  Hope you have a great day, Dean, full of all your favorite "classics":
1. Coca Cola
2. Golf
3. Scarves!!!

The Best Birthday Ever!!!

I need to give a shoutout to my amazing, thoughtful, and generous hubby.  I had the best birthday this past weekend.  Zak took the time to plan it all, and I , along with Harleigh, had a wonderful time.  On Friday night, Zak was persistent on me opening my brithday gift he and Harleigh worked so hard on. I love gifts, so didn't put up much (if any) fight.  I got a new camera, a really nice Nikon camera!  One that I've been wanting for a few years, and the purpose of opening it early was so that when we went to the zoo the next day I would be able to use it.  The next morning, we went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC.  It was a beautiful day, slightly overcast so it wasn't too hot for our little princess who rode in her carriage for a majority of the day.  We were able to see everything- bears, birds, kangaroos, giraffes, elephants, zebras, gardens, fish, snakes, monkeys, etc...although the only animal we didn't see and will get all the credit, was a "dog".  Harleigh called every animal she saw a "dog".  After 30 attempts we stopped correcting her and just went with it!  We were able to take our time looking at each animal and I got the best present of all- a nap from my little girl!

Thank you, Zak for a wonderful birthday!  I appreciated it so much!

I also want to give a shout out to my parents who came over on my actually birthday with delicious SAS cupcakes, my sister and brother-in-law for watching Harleigh- so Zak and I could have a date night, to all my friends and family who left thoughtful texts, vmails, and emails.  And also, my brother, who LOVES to purposely leave me in suspense on my birthday and not give me a gift for atleast 4-6 months following my birthday! :)  Thank you to all!!!
